James N. Ver Hoeve, PhD

Dr. Ver Hoeve is Director of Electrodiagnostic Services in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he is responsible for electroretinographic and visual evoked potential testing in human patients. He is an editor of ‘Adler’s Physiology of the Eye’, a major reference for ocular physiology.  Dr. Ver Hoeve also serves as an electrophysiological consultant for OSOD, LLC on numerous pharmaceutical projects in collaboration with Covance Development Services, Inc. He has conducted research in a wide variety of animal models. He is currently investigating imaging the functional properties of the retina and neuroprotection strategies in human and experimental glaucoma.
